Going On an Adventure

Yesterday was Joey's birthday, and (cousin) Savannah came over to visit, so I thought I'd take some pictures. I noticed that Joey was dressed, um, oddly, and asked him what was up. He said he was going on an adventure. Well, then Savannah and Samuel wanted to "go on a venture, too", so I found them some hats and various objects to sling around their necks, and off they went.

Living in the Ozarks hasn't changed these Florida babies at all.
Nooooo, not a bit!
(They look like Ma and Pa Kettle!)

Here are the adventurers!

Joey, their fearless leader.

Showing off his adventure equipment.

"Farewell, mother. Farewell, Aunt Katie. We know not when, or IF, we will return."

I loved this picture!

Our first discovery! Joey snitched some garlic from the kitchen a few weeks back, and planted it in the woods. It seems to be growing. At least the adventurers will have food!

Our adventurers come across their first obstacle, so they decide to build a bridge.

On to the next adventure...flower picking! Joey, the fearless leader, opts out of such frivolous activity. He has more important things to do, so he leaves this job to his underlings.

I thought this was a sweet picture.

Sweet Sammy.

As the day wore on, the adventurers slowly shed their equipment.

Water... we've found a spring of cool, clear water (water, water)!

Cooling off tired feet!
When my sister-in-law Ashley came to pick up Savannah, Savannah told her mama that she went swimming. Technically, only her toes went swimming, cause that spring water is coooold!

Sometimes, being the big boy isn't all it's cracked up to be. You get stuck hauling around all the stuff the little kids drop.

Finally, the adventurers make it back to Base Camp! I'm not sure what Andrew is doing, maybe playing the part of Big Foot? Or Pestery Older Brother? He's very good at playing that part!

The End!

Oh! That is SO cute! It's so much fun to see little Savannah just joining right in with her cousins. Little Joey sure is the big boy now isn't he? Somehow that takes me by surprise. Sammy's sure growing up too. Wow.

Loved this post!

Oh, my stars! What fun! The Discher girls and Granddaddy were here reading this with me, and we had such a good time! What a cute post! (And how many more exclamation points can a grandmother use??)

It is so precious to see Savannah being part of "the cousins", and to see the little ones take her right in. We love it! (One last !)

Love,
Grandmother and Granddaddy

How Precious!! I Love the first pic. Looks like my crew. And the one of them holding hands.

Joey had alot of protecting to do with those littles. What a fine able gentleman he is!

Liv and I were just talking about Joey this morning and some of their "adventures" when he stayed with us while you were in the hospital after Sammy. They had their special bonding time then:)

The spring looks so refreshing!! Thank you Lord for your provision of fresh water.

Love y'all,

Thank y'all for the sweet comments.

Rachel, Joey is now 5 years old! I'm having a hard time realizing he's growing up.

Tina, the times my kids have had at the Pollocks rank way up there on the fun meter! Y'all were such a blessing (along with so many others) when Sammy was in the hospital. Thank you, Lord, for your people doing your work.

The spring is so refreshing! It makes the Biblical references to springs of Living Water come alive!

Love to all,
Katie
